Through a long-time collaboration with the Brussels based Company SOIT, and in her work as an assistant and dancer/performer, Anthea Lewis has nourished us with an authentic, diverse and agile, artistic awareness. Anthea developed a sharpened view and resilience in her theatrical work and choreographic creative output, rooted in psychological and inter-relational themes. Her approach, embedded in the here and now, includes irony and humour as valuable coping strategies and motors of the artistic process. The work provides us, as an audience as well as a maker, with an acute responsiveness, a possibility to understand, dissect and cope with the ever-changing complexity of our lives.
